The Body That Wasn’t There
Detective Mark Graves stood over the bloodstained carpet.
No body. No weapon. Just a massive pool of blood.
The forensics team confirmed it: someone had lost enough blood to die.
Yet, there was no body. No drag marks. No footprints.
Mark frowned. “Where’s the victim?”
His partner handed him a phone. “We got security footage.”
Mark pressed play.
The footage showed the room—empty. Then, at 2:32 AM, the blood appeared instantly, as if poured from thin air.
No killer. No struggle. Just blood.
Mark’s heart pounded.
How do you investigate a murder when the victim never existed?
