Everything That Happened

Once upon a time, in a distant village, there was a house that no one could remember the name of. The house had been abandoned for years, but the villagers always felt something strange whenever they passed by it. One day, a new family moved into the village. They had no knowledge of the house’s past.

The family loved the forest around the house. In fact, the old house itself had an odd charm to it—old, mysterious, and strangely peaceful. But the villagers knew well that the house was the center of an ancient curse.

For the first few weeks, everything seemed normal. However, one evening, the family’s young daughter, Elif, began to hear strange sounds from one of the empty rooms on the upper floor. One night, while alone in her room, the sounds grew louder. It felt like someone was calling her name. Elif, frightened, got out of bed and decided to follow the sound. She opened the door to her room and stepped into the dark hallway.

There was a constant hum, faint whispers filling the air. At the end of the corridor, a door that hadn’t been opened in years stood slightly ajar. Elif pushed the door open and entered. In the center of the room were old, faded drawings and strange symbols on the walls. But what caught Elif’s attention was an old box, embedded in the farthest corner of the room.

She carefully examined the box and slowly opened it. Inside was an aged notebook, its pages yellowed with time. As Elif flipped through it, she found names of old villagers and notes that seemed to be written from another era. At the end of each page, there was a death date. On the final page, the words “Beware of the newcomers” were written.

Elif quickly closed the notebook and decided to leave. But as she turned to go, a cold sensation washed over her. Something was moving in the walls of the old house. Suddenly, the silence in the room was broken. A shadowy figure, with hollow eyes, began to approach her rapidly. Elif tried to scream, but no sound came from her mouth.

Panicking, she turned and ran. She reached the door and tried to open it, but her hands were shaking, and the door wouldn’t budge. She dared not look back. Finally, the door creaked open, and Elif rushed out of the room. However, the notebook she had left behind snapped shut on its own, and the door to the room slammed shut with a loud, ominous sound.

The next morning, the family realized that Elif had disappeared. But the villagers, they were not only concerned about the missing child, but also the faint whispers coming from the upper room of the house. From that day on, no one in the village dared to approach the house.

And everyone remembered the words written in the old notebook: “Beware of the newcomers.”

Because something was inside that house. A curse, a dark secret.

And that secret… was still waiting…
