The Last Call

The phone rang at exactly 2:07 AM—the same time every night.

Detective Emma Pierce picked up.

A distorted voice whispered, “You have 24 hours left.”

Click.

No trace, no origin, no clue.

For the last six nights, she had received the same call. And each time, someone in the city died exactly 24 hours later.

Emma glanced at the clock. 2:08 AM.

Her hands trembled. This time, there was only one difference.

Tonight, the call was meant for her.
