The Price of Light

“In a world where energy was a luxury, people lived in perpetual darkness unless they could afford the light. Cities were divided between the illuminated elite and those left in the shadows.”
Arlo, a scavenger, found an illegal source of energy hidden beneath the ruins of an old power plant. He had a choice—sell it to the highest bidder or use it to bring light to those in the dark. But power, in any form, comes with a price, and the city’s rulers weren’t willing to share.
