Brave Even In the Dark
The barn was cold and held a thick and heavy dark within it’s walls. There were uneven planks of ra, splintered wood that made up walls of the massive structure. Sharp and scary toolssat quietly on nails andt lent a real and palpable fear to the atmosphere.
Benny tried to push back any ideas of what was waiting…

This hooked me right away. The barn feels genuinely unsettling, and Benny being only nine makes the tension even stronger. As a beta reader, I’d definitely keep reading to see what’s waiting for him in the dark.
